Yog's chosen mooring place at Old Wolverton
Woke up this morning to the engine running and trees passing me at a lovely leisurely rate.  Buster hadn't bothered to wake me up and was asleep on Yogis pillow next to me.  It was lovely, I haven't woken up chugging for years, there was no need to rush out of bed as I knew there wasn't a lock for ages so I laid there for a while watching the world go by, waiting for the tone of the engine to change to signal we were pulling in.
Sure enough, the revs changed, Buster jumped out of bed and started shouting mooring instructions to Yog through the back hatch.  I sat up in bed just in time to see a quirky antique shop come into view from the bedroom window.

Information about Old Wolverton

It had just started to rain again when we arrived so we settled in with a cuppa to wait the rain out.
Roundabout lunchtime the weather cleared enough for us to think about venturing out.  The Galleon was just at the bridge so we thought we would see if they did an All Day Breakfast.  Disappointing Menu and no breakfast option at all, so we had a quick drink and decided to check out the antique shop G'Dads which only closes one day a week, yup closed on Tuesdays the day we were there so if you want to have a look you will have to do what I did and check out the website lol http://www.gdadscollectables.co.uk/

8pm At Wolverton
By 8pm the rain had stopped and a lovely evening was upon us.  We were just settling in for a quiet evening of reflection on the journey so far when we were startled by a knock on the side of the boat and shouts of 'Hello!!'.
We looked at each other, both thinking 'What the ?...' and Yog jumped up to look outside to see who and what was was there.  It was Yog's cousin Margaret, the last person we were expecting to see, as she lives in Doncaster!!  I was very shocked and spent the next five minutes wandering up and down the boat saying 'Oh my god' before I managed to compose myself enough to offer her a cup of tea lol.
We had been speaking during the day via Facebook and were unaware that she was in fact stalking us and trying to ascertain our exact position to surprise us later that night on her way back from London!!  Very crafty if you ask me ;0).

We are being watched!!

She had asked passers by, 'Where was the best place to moor a boat in Wolverton?', only to be told 'On the Grand Union'. Not very helpful to Margaret, but funny to hear her tell us the story of the search for Silver Blue whilst aboard her drinking tea.  Spookier, whilst  in Rickmansworth at the same time as us, Margaret had driven over a bridge where she thought we may have been moored. She wanted to check the boats on the towpath to see if we were there!!  She didn't have the time to stop, but kicked herself when she got home because we were exactly where she thought we would be!
I had a rummage and found a river map for her.  It does help to picture things when you have a map with the rivers marked out clearly. We showed her the route we were planning to take and had a look how far Doncaster was from where we were headed.
It was lovely to see Margaret, as well as a bit of a shock! lol and it was a shame she had to go :0( but she had a 5.30am start the next day and was mad really to have stayed with us so late!!
We knew she got home ok because the next day we received a text.  It showed the map, already on the wall with a yellow post it arrow advising us of our position lol  Keep it up Margaret, stalker of the week award definitely goes to you!! xxx
